Barbara A. Oliveira, 92, of Suffield, formerly of Enfield died on Wednesday, August 9, 2023. She was born
September 19, 1930 in Hartford to Raymond and Esther (Akerberg) Mantie. Barbara retired from Casual
Corner/ Specialty Retailing. She loved line dancing and music and was a true animal lover. She
frequented the Enfield Senior Center in recent years, enjoying dancing and participating in the many bus
trips offered. She is survived by her children; Esther Boucher and her husband Ray, Anita Oliveira and
her husband Russell Brandwein, and Jim Oliveira and his partner Sara; her grandchildren, Matthew
Boucher and his partner Fawn Press-Dawson, Christopher Boucher and his partner Hillary Skinner, Kady
Brandwein and her partner Alex Lee, Jackson Brandwein and Lucas Brandwein; her 2 great-
grandchildren, Kamani and Anahata. Besides her husband Edward, who passed away in 2003, she was
predeceased by her sister Audrey (Mantie) Stelmach Dunbar. All services will be held privately at the
