Obituary for Benjamin Alan-Jon Koropatkin

Benjamin Alan-Jon Koropatkin, 7, of Somers, deeply loved son of Kevin Koropatkin and Rebecca Whiteley, passed away tragically on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, with 3 of his siblings in Somers, CT. Benjamin was born in Manchester, CT on March 17, 2016 and was loved from the moment he entered the family. Ben was a sweet and shy boy who was so creative and artistic. He was known for making mosaic pictures with colored paper. He loved playing with Lego bricks, riding his scooter, drawing with crayons, markers and pencils, and spending time with his friends at Somers Elementary School. He also enjoyed hanging out with his siblings and playing super smash bros.
Besides his parents, he is loved and remembered by his maternal grandfather, Charles Whiteley; his 3 siblings, Mallory Moskwa, Breanna Boucher, and Olivia Boucher; his aunts and uncles who adored him, Brittany Whiteley, Tyler Johnson and his wife Jennifer, Nicole Johnson, Ryan Arbacheski and his wife Andrea, and Kelly Koropatkin; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins who will miss him deeply. He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Debra Gifford; and his paternal grandparents, Alan and Jeanne Koropatkin. He tragically passed away with his siblings, Lukas Ryan-Alan, Genevieve Ann-Rose, and Archer David Koropatkin.
His family will receive friends on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield. Shuttle Parking will be available at Eli Whitney School starting at 5:00 PM. A special thank you to Smyth Bus Co. for generously donating the transportation and the Principal and staff of Eli Whitney School for allowing the parking lot to be used.
Services and burial will be held at a later time.
