Obituary for Carol Black (Wilkerson)

Carol Black, 83, of Enfield, beloved wife to Bernard Black, entered into Eternal Peace on Sunday, December 27, 2020, in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by her loving family. Carol was born in Attmore, AL, on October 23, 1937, the loving daughter to the late George and Margaret (Hardy) Wilkerson. She worked for many years at numerous Army and Air Force bases as a post exchange retail sales manager. She loved her dogs and enjoyed her various collections. Carol enjoyed traveling with her husband taking trips throughout the US and Europe but as a proud southern belle, her favorite destination was Pensacola. Carol was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be remembered for her kind and warm heart. In addition to her husband, Bernard of Enfield, she is survived by her four children, Terry Kinsley of Broad Brook, Peggy Raymond of East Windsor, Julie Nicholson of Hooksett, NH, and Jennifer Krout of Enfield; step children, Brenda Kane and Debbie Mancuso of Enfield; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for a graveside service at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Hazardville Cemetery in Enfield. The family would like to extend a special thank you to ECHN Visiting Nurse and Health Services of CT for their care and compassion.
