Obituary for Carolyn J dePlace (Peluso)

Carolyn J. (Peluso) dePlace, 68, of Enfield, widow of William dePlace, was
called home on Thursday, August 4, 2022 to join her parents Michael Peluso, Sr. and Lena
(Campanelli) Peluso, and best friend and sister Anna Marie (Peluso) Vincent. She will be forever
remembered by her brother Michael Peluso, Jr. and his wife Lisa, their sons Michael III, Thomas
(Irene), and Peter, nephew Robert Turgeon, Jr. (Michelle), nieces Christina Wagner who was
more like a daughter to her and Angela Vincent, her son Daniel Clement (Laura Sarno) and their
daughters Rachel and Emma, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, great nieces, great
nephews, and close friends.
Carolyn shined brightest when expressing her adoration for her granddaughters, who she
thought the world of. It was Carolyn’s fierce resolve and the talent and genuine care of
Oncologist Dr. Mohammad Pazooki who made it possible for Carolyn to meet her grandchildren
and see them grow. Her family is thankful for the support of Dr. Jaykumar Thumar, Dr. Joseph
Breton, Dr. Richard Shumway, Dr. Lawrence Glaubiger, and Dr. Eric Van Rooy.
Always showing her kindness, Carolyn never said no to anyone; she was always willing to lend a
hand. She enjoyed babysitting, pet-sitting, and spending time with those she cared for and
following their accomplishments on Facebook.
Known for her incredible work ethic, her early career consisted of supervisory roles within the
CT State Employees Credit Union and Society for Savings-Mutual Savings. She went on to
contribute to organizations and held multiple full-time positions concurrently; including USA
Markets, Inc., Blaikie, Miller, and Hines, Harland Check Printers, Fidelity National Information
Services, and Sodexho-Marriott/Aramark within Cigna (Windsor).
Family and friends will gather Friday, August 12, 5pm-7pm, at Leete Stevens Funeral Home (61
South Rd., Enfield). A funeral home service will take place at 7pm. Burial will take place at Mt.
Saint Benedict Cemetery (1 Cottage Grove Road, Bloomfield), Saturday, August 13, 10:30am
(please meet directly at cemetery). Contributions can be made in Carolyn’s memory to Mary’s
Place, a Center for Grieving Children & Families, 6 Poquonock Avenue, Windsor, 06095. For
