Obituary for Carolyn Zocco (Waterhouse)

Carolyn (Waterhouse) Zocco, 90, of Enfield, beloved widow of Paul Zocco Sr. to whom she was married to for 65 years, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2022 with family by her side. She was born on February 26, 1932 in Milo, ME, daughter of the late Chester and Olive (Wentworth) Waterhouse. Carolyn was very proud of the roles she took on in her life: daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and Mima. As a mom, she had an open-door policy at her home. It was very well known that there was always room at the dinner table, especially on Sundays, everyone knew they were welcomed. For decades, generations stopped in to break bread. Carolyn valued her family, and she valued her friends as family. She had an amazing talent for crocheting making countless afghans that were gifted to many. She was always first to volunteer at her childrens’ schools making costumes, uniform alterations or whatever was needed. She was a loyal fan of the UCONN Basketball Teams. Carolyn is survived by her 4 children: Paul F. Zocco Jr (Dory) of Florida, Robin Zocco (Joanne) of Florida, Katherine Zocco-Hochhalter (Ted) of Colorado and Wendy Doyle (John) of Rocky Hill,CT; 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; her sister, Julie Turgeon; her sisters-in-law, Lucy Zocco and Clorinda Zocco and several nieces and nephews.
