Stephanie & Annie,
So sorry for the loss of your Mother. I am another one of the cousins from Roanoke. My fondest memories and big part of my childhood were summers spent in Bristol with Cathy, Carol & Connie. We had so much fun and couldn’t wait to go other times too. Your mother had a beautiful smile, she was funny, very generous. I will always remember the trip to Atlanta, she went out of her way to spend time with us and we felt so welcomed. Just wish we could have spent more time together as we got older but when we did see each other Cathy was always fun to be with. Her kindness and love she showed to our mother will always be remembered and appreciated. She will be missed!
Love,
Wilma

Stephanie and Annie I am so sorry for your loss. Your mother was such a kind soul. Being the youngest of Virginia’s girls I don’t have the same childhood memories like Polly,Joyce,Brenda, Janet and Wilma but what I do remember is the kindness and generosity she had for those she loved and held close....Her sense of humor and her ability to tell ya like it was. Her kindness and thoughtfulness to mama always and especially after Aunt Jane passed was so appreciated and will never be forgotten. Her visit to Roanoke to see mama in her final season of life meant so much to her and us. She often spoke of how proud she was of her family. She will forever be in our hearts and will truly be missed.
Sending love and prayers now and for the days ahead,
Susan

Annie and Stephanie
So sorry for your loss. Cathy was such a vibrant person. She was a kind, generous, and funny woman. We all loved the times we spent together in the summers at Aunt Jane’s house. Granny Kite was living with them and in the summer she had all of us at times to watch while Aunt Jane worked. Cathy was so funny and the memories all of us cousins made were treasured. Your Mom was a kind, generous and funny lady. We had great times together growing up. She was so sweet and kind to Mama (Virginia) when she began declining health. Cathy’s calls to Mama made her day and it meant so much to her when your Mother flew here to visit her at Pheasant Ridge Health facility. She sent her beautiful flowers which made Mama smile. She gave us cousins many happy memories. She will be missed. She was loved by all

Stephanie and Annie, I’m so sorry for your loss. Your mom was such a beautiful person inside and out. She lived to bring light into the lives of others, especially those she loved. As children, she willingly shared her mother, Aunt Jane, with us. Our summers were spent going from Roanoke to Bristol staying connected with our loving family. Cathy was a generous young girl, she gave us gifts that have lasted a lifetime....kindness, humor and an abundance of love. She was truly joyful and thoughtful, sharing all that she had and was. I will always be grateful for the love and kindnesses she gave her Aunt Virginia, my mother.

Remember how excited she was to become a mother and then a grandmother. As mother’s do, she proudly spoke of what the two of you had accomplished. She loved you both so much. Cathy stayed true to herself and lived her life with grace and spirit, she was a genuine, generous soul.

I remember each time we parted, she would say....”I love you, mean it!” She will be greatly missed but always remembered.

I love you, mean it

Polly
