David Allen Hayes , 62, of Canyon City, CO formerly of Windsor Locks died at Hartford Hospital on August 23, 2022. He was born March 22, 1960 in Hartford to Roy and Carol (Wood) Hayes. David was self employed as a very talented Carpenter. He enjoyed hunting and cruising on his motorcycle. He was a very gracious, helpful person. He became an organ donor which helped many people. For many years he was the sexton of the Wesley United Methodist Church in Warehouse Point. Dave is survived by his son, Jonathan Hayes; his mother, Carol Hayes; his longtime partner, Nathia Lengerich; his sister, Linda LaMarre; his nephew, Chris Chabot and 2 nieces, Rachel Cardella-Hayes and Lily Saunders. He was predeceased by his father Roy Hayes in 2012, his brothers, Lawrence and John Hayes and his sister, Lauralyn Chabot. Relatives and friends may join the family on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 12:30 pm at Wesley United Methodist Church, 55 N. Main St, East Windsor, CT 06088. Burial will be held privately.
