Obituary for Deborah J. Schack (Schack)

The livestreaming will start at 11:00 AM when the service begins.

Deborah J. Schack, September 25, 1952-June 8, 2022. Daughter, sister, sister-in-law, grandmother, and friend of many. Debbie is finally free of pain, and holding her precious pup “Mugs” in her arms again.
It was with incredible strength, resilience, and stubbornness that had her up and about after each and every medical issue handed to her. “You can’t”, “I can”. “You won’t”, “I will”. And she did, over and over again. But not this time. This time she didn’t. Deb had finally had enough. To our Lord, she went, free of pain. Imagine that, free of pain. Walking on both feet, heading to the altar. (Oh, not for communion mind you, but for the wine he was offering.) The daughter of Janice (Burgess) Schack and the late William A. Schack, Debbie was born and raised in Enfield and graduated from Enfield High School and the University of Connecticut. She made her home in Temecula, CA for many years, and then found her way back to Enfield, where she resided for the last nine years. Debbie is in a good place. We are not. We are sad. We are missing her, and we always will. But we smile. Because Deb is at peace, she has no pain. Deb leaves behind her mom, Janice B. Schack, Enfield, her sisters; Diane Monroe, husband Bob, Lake Park, FL, Marianne Nations, Enfield, Jill Vetrone, Seattle, WA, Lisa Schack, Farmington, CT; Her brother Tom and his wife Amy, Enfield; a niece Valerie Sloane, Seattle, WA, and her Aunt, Irene Schack, Manchester. Kim and Mike Gilland, Wethersfield, CT blessed her with two grandchildren, Katie and Sean, who called her G.G. Deb held them all very dear to her heart. A clan of cousins, and an abundance of friends, all share our grief. A special thanks to all her caregivers and drivers from Nutmeg Riders, (especially Tom Galaske), Your kindness will never be forgotten.
Her family will receive friends on Friday, June 17, from 10-11 AM at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd. Enfield, followed by a Funeral Home Service at 11 AM. Burial will follow in Enfield St. Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to The Grey Muzzle Organization, 14460 Falls of Neuse Rd. Suite 149-269, Raleigh, NC 27614.
