Obituary for Donald M. Gamache

Donald Gamache, 70, from Willimantic, CT, passed away peacefully in his home, on April 24, 2022.
Donald is survived by his daughters Heidi Arnott and her wife Anna Bailey, Cynthia Cook and her husband James Cook, his grandchildren: JJ, Mason, Sawyer and Allie, his mother Marion Judson Glover, his sister JoAnn McCluskey and partner Roger Ingraham, his brother Joseph Gamache and his wife Claire, his sister Barbara Hrycar, niece Culleen Filosi, and nephew and fellow fishman Michael Gamache, and many other nieces and nephews. Donald was predeceased by his father Romeo Joseph Gamache and his brother John “Jack” Gamache.
Donald lived his younger years in South Windham, CT where he preferred being in the outdoors, building forts, rigging up Tarzan swings, and swimming with friends at the trestle bridge. Donald was an early entrepreneur, and could be seen riding his bike around town, delivering newspapers. Donald was a lifelong painter, and if he wasn’t up on a ladder, he was driving around country roads, headed to a river or a stream to cast his fishing line. He also loved having a dog companion, and one of his greatest joys was tossing a stick to Roxy.
A private Celebration of Life will occur.
