Dorothy C. (Bunda) Vranich, 93, of Suffield, formerly of Enfield, beloved wife of the late John T. Vranich, peacefully passed away on Monday, April 3, 2023 at Suffield House. She was born in Johnstown, PA on November 11, 1929, the daughter of the late August and Mary (Drozen) Bunda. Dorothy was a resident of Enfield for over 50 years before moving to Suffield by the River and later to Suffield House. She had a long career as a bookkeeper, working for Phoenix Insurance Company until her retirement in 1996. Dorothy enjoyed reading, traveling, volunteering at Johnson Memorial Hospital, and watching her favorite sports on TV, especially UConn basketball. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and cherished her role as a mother and grandmother. Dorothy's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Suffield House for their kind and compassionate care, especially her caregivers, Kayon, Jamie, and June.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Susan Vranich of CA, Cindy Vranich of Newington, and Robert Vranich and his wife Meredy of CA; her daughter-in-law, Heidi Simpson-Vranich of MA; her grandchildren, Caleb Vranich of MA and Mila Vranich of CA, many nieces and nephews, and her beloved granddog, Bella. In addition to her late husband, John, she was predeceased by her son, John, and her sister, Vivian Kolega.

Relatives and friends are welcomed to join the family for visitation from 4 to 6 pm on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd, Enfield. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at St. Bernard Church, 426 Hazard Avenue, Enfield. Please meet at the church.
