Ellen J. Calvi, 87, longtime resident of Enfield, entered into Eternal Peace on Wednesday, June 2, 2021. Ellen aka “Professor Beetlebaum” was born on October 19, 1933, in Athol, MA, the loving daughter to the late James L. and Atena A. (Novisky) Miller. Ellen proudly served our country in the United States Air Force. She went on to enjoy a long career with Hallmark Cards before retiring after30 years. Ellen enjoyed traveling alongside her husband of 51 years, the late Carl Calvi, who predeceased her in 2012. They took many family trips to their home on Cape Cod, cruising, and visiting their son Jim in California. Ellen often could be found helping and dancing along at Kathy and Nancy’s dance studio. Anyone who knew Ellen knew she was the life of the party! Ellen is survived by her three children, Ann M. Bugden of Enfield, James R. Calvi of CA, and Nancy A. Calvi of Enfield; Brothers, James “Sunny” Miller of Athol, MA and Paul Miller of CA; a sister, Ann Lane and her husband David, of Uxbridge, MA; Granddaughters, Andrea Bugden of Stafford and Melissa Prentiss with two great grandsons, Brenden and Blake; Dear family friend, Kathy Connaughton; Along with many loving family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for calling hours on Monday, June 7, 2021 from 4-7 pm at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield, CT 06082.
