Obituary for Eloise C. McDowell (Clark)
Eloise C. McDowell, 80, of Enfield, went to be with the Lord and was reunited with her beloved husband and best friend, Austin McDowell on Friday, April 29, 2022. Eloise was born on December 18, 1941 in Mars Hill, ME, and was the daughter of the late Harry and Glenna (Tweedie) Clark.
Eloise graduated from high school in 1958 and went on to work as a Loan Officer for CT National Bank until her retirement in 2004. She raised her children in Connecticut, her favorite activities included, her grandkids, dogs , and she absolutely loved her time in her flower gardens. She shared her love for her precious savior with her children and grandchildren. She will be truly missed.
She leaves seven children - John Edward Bruch Jr. and his wife Mary Rose of Greenwood, DE; Kimberly (McDowell) Post and her husband Kenneth of Stafford Springs; Robin (Bruch) Stearns of Tolleson, AZ; Rhonda (Bruch) Chisholm and her husband Walter of Springfield, MA; Kay McDowell of New Milford; David McDowell and his wife Paula of Lebanon; Jeffrey A. Bruch and his wife Kathleen of Chicopee, MA; twenty- three grandchildren and twenty six great-grandchildren; her brother, Marvin Clark and his wife Jean; and two sisters, Dorothy Bridges and her husband Humphrey, and Carolyn Doak. Besides her husband Austin, Eloise was predeceased by her brothers, Maurice, Merrill and Lawrence Clark.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2022, 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Somers Baptist Church, 40 Battle Street, Somers, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Somers Center Cemetery.
