Frances A. Cerrato, 88, longtime resident of Enfield, entered into Eternal Peace on Saturday, March 19, 2022, with her beloved family by her side. She was born in the Hazardville section of Enfield on March 11, 1934, the loving daughter of the late Archie and Catherine (Rudzinski) Gourinski. Frances resided in Miami, FL for several years before moving back to Enfield where she raised her family. She was a communicant of St. Patrick Church. Frances was a very talented crafter, making everything from afghans to dolls that she enjoyed gifting to relatives and friends to enjoy. She was an avid bowler and cherished the time spent and memories made with her family. Frances is survived by her loving and dedicated son with whom she made her home, James Doyle of Enfield; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members. She was predeceased by her husband, Joe Cerrato; sisters, Stacia McKenna, Leona Crosby, Helen Colton, and Ann Moreau; and two brothers, Henry and Frederick Gourinski. Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for calling hours on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, from 5 - 7 pm at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield, CT 06082. A service will be held at 11 am at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 23, 2022. Burial will follow at Hazardville Cemetery. Frances put up a brave fight with dementia during her later years. The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions in her name be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Avenue, 16th Floor, New York, NY 10001.
