George Harold Webster, Jr, 92, of Enfield, died Monday, August 8, 2022. Beloved husband and best friend of Joan (Daley) Webster to whom he was married to for 59 years. Born March 1, 1930 in Hartford, son of the late George Harold and Mary Ann (Dooley) Webster. He lived in Granby before moving to Enfield after their marriage on November 3, 1962. George proudly served in the US Air Force during the Korean War and was a graduate of Simsbury High and Bryant College. He worked for Hamilton Standard in various accounting positions for over 31 years, retiring in 1991. George loved to travel and visited 49 states, multiple countries, and all the Presidential Libraries. He was also the family historian documenting multiple generations through his genealogical research. He was a Communicant of Holy Family Church since 1965. In addition to his wife, he leaves his son Brian Webster and his wife Lori of Seabrook, TX, his daughter Maureen Decker and former son-in-law Bryan Decker of Redding, CT; his four grandchildren, Sophie and Gavin Webster and Jack and Brady Decker, along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, George was predeceased by his brother Lawrence Webster and his sister Mary Currier. George spent his last several months at the Suffield House where they cared for his needs in a dignified manner. Relatives and friends may join the family on Thursday, August 11, 2022, 4 – 6 pm at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd, Enfield. A Procession will gather at the funeral home at 10:00 am on Friday, August 12, 2022 for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 11:00 am at St. Jeanne-Jugan, Holy Family Parish, Enfield.
