Obituary for James Alvin Blair

On Wednesday November 23 rd at 3:26 PM James Blair, a loving partner and father of two children passed away at the age of 62. He was born November 13, 1960, to Homer and Jenny (Szczepanek) Blair. Jimmy recently retired from TTM Technologies in Stafford Springs CT. He worked as an IT Manager involved in cyber security. Jimmy had a passion for collecting and riding motorcycles. He particularly loved his Harley Davidson. Attending Sturgis, Daytona and Laconia to be around others who shared the same love. He worked on classic cars at his garage which often drew attention from neighbors. This would be the catalyst for many new friendships around town. Jimmy would give his time to anyone in need. He loved to help people. It could be roofing in July. If you needed help, he was there. If you were unsure how to tune a carburetor on a classic Corvette, Jim was the guy to ask. His knowledge of cars was
extensive. Self-taught with an insatiable appetite to learn more about the hobby he loved most.
Jim will be remembered for being a great man to many people. He had a tenacity to get a job done and an infectious work ethic. The toughest jobs would work up the strongest appetite. Enjoying delicious BBQ or a perfectly grilled steak. Home cooked food, and a lot of it was his favorite. He loved his family and especially his only grandchild Harper. He is survived by his sons; Steven Blair and his wife Carol Ann, Nicholas Blair; his loving partner and best friend, Jackie Sylvester; his brother, Edward Blair, and his wife Karen; his sister Lori Blair and his granddaughter, Harper Blair. To the world you were just a person but to one person you were their world. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother William Blair and his sister Jane Contois.
