Jean Louise (Swanson) Vendrillo, 89, longtime resident of Vernon, entered into Eternal Peace on Friday, February 5, 2021, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born at home in Newfane, VT, on January 2, 1932, the loving daughter to the late Gustave E. Swanson, Sr. and Svea Louise (Sandberg) Swanson. Jean enjoyed a long career with CUNO, retiring after over 30 years of employment. She was an avid Red Sox fan, and also enjoyed rooting for the UCONN Women basketball team. Jean will be remembered for her fun sense of humor as well as for being a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. Jean enjoyed vacationing with her family, creating many fond memories. Jean is survived by her daughter, Vicky Louise Bragdon; grandchildren, Valerie Louise (Fontaine) McNamara and her husband, Nick, and Harley Douglas Fontaine, and his wife, Kara (Pallotti) Fontaine; her great grandchildren, Madeline and Alice McNamara and Arianna and Lila Fontaine; and a brother, Philip Swanson. She was predeceased by her husbands, Calvin E. Bragdon, Sr and Pasquale R. Vendrillo; a son, Calvin Eugene Bragdon, Jr; and her siblings, Ruth (Swanson) Grocki, Carl (Wesley) Swanson, Clifford Swanson, Arthur Swanson, Gustave Swanson, Jr., and David Swanson. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Visiting Nurse & Health Services of Vernon for their compassion and care. Due to the current public health crisis a memorial service in Jean’s memory will be held at a later date. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
