Obituary for Joan Ann Kimble
Joan (Brown) Kimble, 88, of Clifton Park, beloved wife of Leon Kimble, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 27, 2022. Joan was born in Waterford, NY on March 22, 1934, and was the daughter of the late Lauren Brown and Mary (Kawola) Brown.
Joan was a woman of faith and active member of St Mary’s Catholic Church in Ballston Spa, NY for many years. She prioritized her roles as a mother and homemaker, but was also a woman of many talents. She was an accomplished classic pianist, a drum majorette for St. Mary’s of Waterford NY Drum and Bugle Corp and a bookkeeper for Frears Department store in Troy NY. She enjoyed making trips up to the Thousand Islands in NY and down to Myrtle Beach in SC with her husband of 64 years. Family was everything to her. She looked forward to hosting and whipping up wonderful meals.
Joan is survived by her husband, Leon Kimble, two children, Patricia Bearse and her husband Ronald Bearse of Enfield, CT, Robert Kimble and his wife Nikki Kimble of Blounts Creek, NC. She was a devoted grandmother to Patience, Rachel, and Matthew. Joan is also survived by her sister, Loraine Zawistowski and her husband Ray Zawistowski.
Family will be holding a viewing on January 6, 2023 from 12-1 PM at the Leete-Stevens Funeral Home, 61 South Road Enfield, CT 06082 with a 1 PM Funeral Home Service. Burial will follow at 2pm at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. Memorial contributions in Joan’s memory may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
