Obituary for John J. Frangiamore

John J. Frangiamore Sr., 89, of Enfield, beloved husband of Janet (Wojcieszek) Frangiamore for 68 years, entered into eternal rest Friday, January 20, 2023 at Saint Francis Hospital. Born in the Cottage Green neighborhood in the Thompsonville section of Enfield, John was the son of the late Salvatore and Angela (D’Angelo) Frangiamore. A lifetime resident of the Enfield community, John was a graduate of Enfield High School where he was voted Class Comedian. He later served his country honorably in the US Navy during the Korean War stationed on the USS Bristol. He was employed as an insurance agent for over 20 years with various companies in North Central CT. He was a member of Holy Family Church of St. Jeanne Jugan Parish in Enfield. John loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and cooking Italian meals. John was an avid NY Giants fan.

Besides his wife Janet, he is survived by four children, Laura DaSilva and her husband Dr. Robert DaSilva of Somers, Marcia Franklin and her husband Russ of South Windsor, Jack Frangiamore and his wife Laura of Garden Grove, CA, Carleen Sarno and her husband Carl of Longmeadow, MA, a brother, Benedetto Frangiamore of Enfield, a sister Ann Sheak of Somers, a sister-in-law, Statia Scata of Clermont FL, nine grandchildren, Michael DaSilva and his wife Katie, Dr. Brian DaSilva and his fiancée Morgan Adams, Alyse DaSilva, Jennie DaSilva and her fiancé Sander Danielovitch, Mallory McColgan and her husband Mike, Lindsay Franklin, Christopher Johns, Anthony and Ryan Sarno, four great grandchildren, Tyler, Rylee, Louise, and Alexis, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by five brothers, and five sisters.

Visitation hours will be held from 3 to 6 PM Friday, January 27 at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd. in Enfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 PM Saturday, January 28 at Holy Family Church, 23 Simon Road, Enfield (Please meet directly at church). Committal, with Military Honors, will follow at Saint Adalbert Cemetery.
