John A. Gamba, 60, of Windsor Locks, entered into eternal rest at his home on Wednesday, April 13, 2020. He was born in Hartford on May 10, 1961, the son of Gerene (Rickas) Gamba and the late John E. Gamba. John owned and operated a landscaping business for many years, a career that remained an enjoyable pastime for him after his retirement. He loved spending time outdoors, soaking up the sun and tending to his tomato gardens in the summer. John also enjoyed cooking, taking road trips with his mom for lobster rolls, and annual visits to Florida.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his beloved companion of more than 20 years, Barbara Dubowy and her sisters; Carol Guiel (George) and their son Alex, and Sue Kenney and her daughter Amy (Rob), John’s sister Susan Fox and her children Tiffany and Rachel Foxx, his best buddy and feline companion Morris, and many aunts and uncles.
John's family will receive relatives and friends from 4 to 6 pm, on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd, Enfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for John at 11 am on Friday, April 22, 2022 at St Bernard Church, 426 Hazard Ave, Enfield. Please meet directly at the church.
