John “Jack” W. Holland, Jr., 67, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. He leaves behind his wife of 43 years Laurie Percoski Holland; his children, Matthew Holland and his wife Kerry and their daughter Kaylee of Southington; his daughter, Rachael Holland of Broad Brook; and his bff Matute, the little white Chihuahua. Jack graduated from FIU in Miami in 1981 and went on to have a long career in Corrections in Food Service. He was an avid Red Sox and Miami Dolphins fan; and enjoyed golfing with his brothers on Tuesdays at Cedar Knob. He is also survived by his twin sister Kathy and her husband Lawrence Sawtelle of Maine, sisters Paula and her husband John McCauley, Ann and her husband Rich Sawtelle; brothers Jimmy Holland and Dan Holland and his wife Antoinette; as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Jack was well known for loving his sweets, his quick wit, big heart, and just being a gentle soul. A special thank you to the VNA of Vernon and a huge thank you to his nurse Eileen who took exceptional care of him. His family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 16, from 4-7 PM at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd. Enfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, November 17, at 12 Noon at St. Catherine Church, Broad Brook, please meet directly at the church.
