Obituary for Joseph LaSata

Joseph K. LaSata, 78, of Enfield, passed away on Monday, December 20, 2022 at Suffield By The River. Born in Hartford, CT on May 18, 1944, he was the son of the late Joseph P. and Margaret (Hussey) LaSata, he was a lifelong resident of Enfield. Joseph joined the US Army and served honorably during the Vietnam War before being discharged in 1966. He went on to work as a Police Officer for the City of Hartford for 25 years before retiring. Joseph was an avid hunter and fisherman and a 40+ year member of the Suffield Sportsmen's Club. He was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Eva (Vekris) LaSata in 2020 as well as his brother William LaSata. He leaves two sons, Michael LaSata and his wife Michelle of RI, and Joseph LaSata and his wife Julie of FL; five grandchildren, Lauren, Joseph, Lance, Matthew and Madeline LaSata; one great-granddaughter, Mari; and two siblings, Edward LaSata of NH and Anne Eldridge and her husband Paul of Manchester; as well as many nieces and nephews.

His family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 28, from 4-7 PM at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd. Enfield. A Funeral Home Service will take place on Thursday, December 29, at 1 PM at the funeral home. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Patrick King St. Cemetery.
