Joshua Scott DeGray, 45, transcended this life suddenly on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 in Smyrna, TN. He was born in Hartford, CT on December 14, 1976 and grew up in Suffield where he graduated from Suffield High School, Class of 1994. He lived in Columbia, TN where he created close friendships, was a steward of the land by caring for many animals, and flourished in the commercial trucking industry as Lead Service Coordinator for Nacarato Truck Leasing.

Joshua loved to learn one new thing every day. From an early interest in Star Wars, transportation vehicles, electronics, and astrophysics, to a lifelong exploration of philosophy and spiritual growth, Josh made a study of every interest in his life. He was a creative mind that never stopped yearning for new and challenging endeavors. Josh’s love of nature, friends and family brought him traveling from Tennessee to Connecticut, and journeying through Harpers Ferry, WV where he enjoyed the history and peaceful views. Joshua’s open mind and affinity for laughter affected all who met him, creating introspection of Mind, and a lightness of Spirit everywhere he went.

Besides his mother Robin (Oliveira) Shlosser of West Suffield, he leaves two sons, Logan DeGray and Alexander James DeGray; two sisters, a loving partner and numerous family and friends who will continue to cherish him deeply. Services will be held privately for family.
