Obituary for Joyce M Majowitz (Carrier)
Joyce M. Majowitz (Carrier), 83, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 13, 2019. due to cancer and congestive heart failure. She was born October 2, 1935, in Vermont to the late Ami and Mary (Lombard) Carrier. She married her longtime friend and love, Theodore J. Majowitz, Sr., on November 22, 1961, who preceded her in death in 2006. Joyce was a long time resident of Enfield, CT.
Joyce is survived by her brother and wife Bruce (Tony) and Pam, her sisters Beverly and Sandra. Her three children Theodore J. Majowitz, Jr., of Enfield, Janis Croteau; her husband, William and Theresa A. Barone; five grandchildren, Maeghan Majowitz, Dominic, Lucas, Max, and Simon Barone. And special grand-dog Hollywood. In addition to her husband of 45 years, Theodore J. Majowitz, Sr., Joyce was predeceased by a son, Roger Majowitz. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her. Joyce enjoyed spending time near the water and enjoying the scenery around her, especially that of Vermont foliage. She also had a flair for baking, loved to read and enjoyed card games along with shopping.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for calling hours from 5-8 pm on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at Leete-Stevens, 61 South Road, Enfield, CT. A private burial and service will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
