Linda (Courtemanche) Powers, 75 of Cape Coral, FL, beloved wife of John P. Powers died suddenly on Monday September 12, 2022 at her home in Enfield, CT. Daughter of the late Roland J. Courtemanche and Gladys (Johnson) Courtemanche, she was a resident of Enfield for over 45 years. Prior to her retirement, Linda was employed at Cigna Insurance and CBRE as a property manager.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, who was extremely generous, loving, and sincere to everyone she knew. She enjoyed spending time with family, going to the casino with friends, playing bingo, shopping, and spending time at her home in Florida. One of her recent hobbies was quilting. She enjoyed making things for her grandchildren and hosting craft events to bring the family together.
Linda was predeceased by her father, Roland, mother, Gladys, brother, Bobby, and nephew, RJ Courtemanche. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, John Powers; daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie of Windsor and Joel Meissner of Ellington; son and daughter-in-law, J.P. and Christine Powers of Enfield; sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Doug Gomez of Hebron; sister-in-law and niece, Pam Courtemanche and Tammy Keen of Florida; four grandchildren, Peyton Meissner, Jocelyn, Kaydence, and Brielle Powers; and lifelong friends Joann Dombrowski and Carol Fraher.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice in her honor. The family will be hosting a private celebration of life.
