Obituary for Lyman C. "Lee" LaMay

Lyman C. “Lee” LaMay, III, 72, of Windsor Locks, beloved husband of Lorraine (Rhodes) LaMay, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at home surrounded by his family. He was born September 30, 1951 in Springfield to Lyman and Janelle (Davidson) LaMay, Jr. He was a lifelong resident of Windsor Locks, after High School, Lee proudly served in the US Army. He was employed by Flemings Inc Trucking and Markowski Farms, both in Suffield. His hobbies of hunting and fishing allowed him membership in the NRA, where he became a certified pistol permit instructor. He held memberships at both East Windsor and Hartford Gun Clubs. His greatest joy was volunteering with the Windsor Locks Little League as an Umpire, and helping out his grandson. Lee was also a referee for the Windsor Locks Indoor deck hockey league. Besides his wife Lorraine, his soul mate, to whom he was married to for 44 years, Lee is survived by his daughter, Carrie Varady and her husband Nick; his grandson (his buddy), Kyle Roberts and his girlfriend, Olivia Laughran; his sister, Nanette Barton and her husband Paul; his Step-Mother, Drusilla LaMay; his step siblings, Cindy, Kimberly and Scott and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind many friends who he has touched their hearts. He was predeceased by his parents; his siblings, Scott LaMay, Dana LaMay and Lori LaMay and his step-brother,Tommy.
