Obituary for Marcella "Marci" Garno (Grulke)

Marcella "Marci" Garno, 77, of Enfield, entered into Eternal Peace on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at St. Francis Hospital. Marci was born in Millersburg, MI, on May 3, 1943, the loving daughter to the late Ralph and Ella (Brewster) Grulke. She enjoyed a long career with Iron Mountain for over twenty years working in the Archive Department. Alongside her husband, the late Thomas Garno, Marci relocated from Michigan to Connecticut in 1964, where together they made their home and raised their family. Marci was a dedicated member of the Women of the Moose, East Hartford chapter 1470 & Thompsonville chapter 1302 where she created many fond memories and lifelong friendships. She was an avid reader and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. Marci is survived by her three daughters, Brenda Arietti and her husband, Larry, of Bristol, CT, Debra Cooper of Enfield, CT, and Sandra DeMonte and her husband, Tony, of Ocala, FL; a brother, Wayne Grulke of Rogers City, MI; grandchildren, Scott Cooper, AJ DeMonte, Joshua DeMonte, Elizabeth Pabis, Jonathan Arietti, and Jennifer Fournier; and her great grandchildren, Jason Piaskowski, Chase Arietti, James Pabis, Hunter Cooper and Luna Arietti. In addition to her beloved husband, Thomas, Marci was predeceased by two grandsons, Todd Cooper II and Aaron M. Cooper. Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for calling hours on Saturday, March 27, 2021, from 9:00-11:00 am at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield, CT 06082. Burial will follow with a graveside service at Hazardville Cemetery.
