Obituary for Margaret L. Sabat (Spiller)

Margaret L. “Mickey” Sabat, 70, of Windsor Locks, beloved wife for 52 years to Steven Sabat, passed away surrounded by family on Friday, June 4, 2021 in the comfort of her home. She was a strong woman who fought a courageous battle with illness for the past 9 months. Born on August 8, 1950 in Hartford, CT, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Leatha (Huey) Spiller and grew up in Windsor Locks. She lived in Enfield for 13 years while she raised her family but returned to Windsor Locks where she called home for most of her life. Mickey was a creative and talented crafter who had a love for animals, especially birds and her 2 special pups. A devoted wife, loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend, she will be missed by her family and friends. Besides her husband Steven, she leaves her children, Stevie Sabat, Krissy Bernard and her husband Blaise; 6 grandchildren, Adam, Seth, Becci, Evan, Jeremy, and Jacque; 2 sisters, Linda Formanek and her husband Paul, and Pamela Agey and her husband Michael; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loved daughter, Michelene “Michy” Sabat; and her brother, Martin Spiller. Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
