Obituary for Margherita Rosato (Giangrosso)

Margherita (Giangrosso) Rosato, 87, of Enfield, beloved widower to her husband Rosario Rosato to whom she was married for 57 years, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 3rd, 2022 at St. Francis Hospital. Margherita was born March 3, 1935 in Bisacquino Province of Palermo Sicily, Italy. The loving daughter of the late Saverio and Rosalia (Pillitteri) Giangrosso. Margherita resided in Enfield for over 55 years and was a very faithful parishioner of St. Martha’s Church and a member of the Mt. Carmel Women’s Auxiliary. She worked at Milton Bradley for a number of years. She enjoyed crocheting and gifting her homemade blankets to her family and friends which brought her much joy. She was very passionate about her Italian heritage and enjoyed cooking Sunday lunch for her family. She is survived by her children; Rosa Urquhart of Enfield, Rosalia Miller and her husband Brian of Somers, Gaspare Rosato and his wife Lois of Stafford Springs, and Saverio Rosato of Ellington; her sister, Ingnazia Musso and her brother, Santino Giangrosso and his wife Maria all of Bisacquino; her grandchildren, Shana Miller, Daniel Miller and his wife Alicia, Ariel and Noelle Rosato, Marge Orfanello and her husband Matt, and Gianna Rosato; her great grandsons, Antonio and Carmine Rosato, Rio Barker and Troy Miller; one great granddaughter, Adrianna Pate and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband Rosario and her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Sr. Eduarda Giangrosso and her brother Salvatore Giangrosso. Relatives and friends may join the family on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 from 4 – 7 pm at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd, Enfield, CT. A procession will gather at the Funeral Home at 9:30 on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., St. Martha’s Church, 214 Brainard Rd, Enfield.
