Maria H. Cierpikowski, 83, of Windsor Locks, beloved wife of 60 years to Henry Cierpikowski died August 29, 2022 at St. Francis Hospital. She was born September 30, 1938 in Gdynia, Poland and came to the United States in 1961. She lived in Hartford for 7 years before moving to Windsor Locks.
She worked at the Montgomery Company in Windsor Locks for 20 years and Traveler’s in Windsor for 5 years before retiring. She loved gardening, sewing, cooking, animals, and traveling. She attended St. Mary’s Church throughout her life.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her children; Mark Cierpikowski and his wife Nilsa Cierpikowski, Christine Cierpikowski, Ursula Corning and Thomas Cierpikowski; her brothers, Witold Gorski, Henry Gorski, Andru Gorski and Mirek Gorski; her sisters, Lucyna Konoir, Halina Kopacz and Kristyna Gillette; her grandchildren, Robert Bujak and his wife Heather Torch Bujak, Steven Bujak, and Michael and Nicholas Corning; her loving companion, her dog, Sadie. Relatives and friends may join the family on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 from 5-7 pm at Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St, Windsor Locks. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, September 8, 2022, at Mary, Gate of Heaven, St. Mary Church, 42 Spring St, Windsor Locks.
