Obituary for May I. Allevo

May I. Allevo, 78, of Enfield, beloved wife of the late Robert V. Allevo (2017), entered into eternal peace Thursday, Oct. 31, 2019 at St. Francis Hospital. The daughter of the late Vincent and Henrietta (Brooks) Quinn, May was born in Hartford and raised in Manchester. She lived in Enfield since 1966 and was employed by the former Hi-G for 20 years. May spent many years volunteering at Holy Family Church of St. Jean Jugan Parish and the Enfield Senior Center. She loved travelling, especially to the beautiful blue waters of the Caribbean. She also enjoyed ceramics, quilting, baking, and most importantly, spending time with her family.
She is survived by four children, Robin Bruce and her partner John Kucienski, Scott Allevo (owner of Allevo Plumbing), Stacy DaRos and her husband Donald, and Chris Allevo and his fiancee Anthi all of Enfield; seven grandchildren, Stephen Bruce, Joshua Bruce, Anthony DaRos and his wife Carlee, Amber DaRos, Azaria, Chris, and Nick Allevo; two great grandchildren, Hannah and Hailey Bruce; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, May was predeceased by two sisters, Susan Kemp and Patricia Janssen, and a brother, Joseph Brooks. Visitation will be held from 10-11:30 a.m. followed immediately by a funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019 at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield.
