Maydelle T. Lapointe, 77, of East Windsor, beloved wife of the late Percy Lapointe, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Bickford Health Care on Friday, January 24, 2020. Born in Van Buren, Maine on April 12, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Antoine and Theresa (Delorge) Thibodeau and grew up in Maine, moving to Hartford and then East Windsor in 1967. She worked for Railroad Salvage, Cardinal Health, and Wal-Mart. Maydelle was a communicant of St. Catherine’s Church for many years. She enjoyed going to the casinos, playing Bingo, and was a Pug lover. She enjoyed the last few years at Bickford Health Care where she made many friends. Besides her husband Percy, who passed away in 1992, she was predeceased by her special friend, David Bruce. She leaves 2 loving sons, Mark Lapointe and his wife Lori of East Windsor, and David Lapointe and his wife Heather of Meriden; 4 cherished grandchildren, Katrina Murphy, Kurtis Lapointe, Brittany Lapointe, and Kaylee Sartucci; a great-granddaughter, Ava Murphy; 5 siblings, Roger Thibodeau of Broad Brook, Becky Bourgoin and her husband Gilbert of Wallingford, Marlene Breton of Van Buren, ME, Greta Sirois of East Windsor, and Monica Dubay and her husband Mike of Hobe Sound, FL. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, January 30, at 10 AM, directly at St. Catherine’s Church, 6 Windsorville Rd., Broad Brook. Burial will follow in St. Catherine’s Cemetery.
