Michele Nitch, 56, of Enfield, entered into eternal rest at her home on Monday, May 30, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Hartford on October 16, 1965, the daughter of Bernard Hart and the late Emilia (Fritz) Hart. For many years she supervised Hartford Cutter Grinding alongside her father and subsequently moved to Aerogear as a tool crib attendant. Michele was a jack of all trades at home and had a passion for gardening. She was an active member of the Somers’ Women’s Volleyball League for countless years. Michele enjoyed traveling and seeking out waterfalls amongst her journeys. She was a natural caregiver and bestowed her generous spirit on family and friends alike.
In addition to her father, she leaves behind her children, Rhiannon and Jacob Nitch of Enfield and her fiance, Mark Thomas of Becket, Mass. She is also survived by her brother Matthew Hart of Enfield; her sister Andrea Mashiak and her husband Peter of Somers; her grandchildren Iliana, David, Benjamin, and Oliver, her many nieces and nephews, and her beloved canine companion, Paisley.
Michele's family will receive friends and relatives from 1 to 4 pm on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd , Enfield. Visitation will close with words of remembrance.
