Obituary for Nicholas Roberge

Nicholas Roberge, 37, of Enfield, entered into Eternal Peace on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Nicholas was born on October 5, 1984, in Portland, ME, the loving son to Scott and Heide (Rushinski) Roberge of East Hampton. He grew up in Somers, CT, attending local schools and graduating from Somers High School. Nicholas proudly served his country in the United States Army following graduation. He was with the 1-11 ACR Division during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Following his honorable discharge from the service, he was employed as a chef at several local restaurants. He also enjoyed sports, playing baseball throughout his high school career and later becoming an avid golfer. He was a big fan of the Boston Bruins and Boston Red Sox. In addition to his parents, Scott and Heide Roberge, Nicholas is survived by his sister, Meagan S. Colby and her husband, Carter; grandparents, Richard A. and Lucille L. Roberge and Helen Rushinski; his nephew and niece, of whom he adored, Miloh and Norah, step nephews Joshua and Mason; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Nicholas also leaves his beloved four legged companion, Kohl. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. A memorial gathering for friends and family will be held on April 24th at 2:00 pm at the American Legion Hall, located at 20 American Legion Drive, Manchester CT. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations in Nicholas's honor may be made to VA Connecticut Healthcare System, Oncology Department, 950 Campbell Ave, West Haven, CT 06516 or to the ASPCA, Gift Processing Center, P.O. Box 96929, Washington, DC 20090-6929.
