Philip H. Marcoux, longtime Enfield resident, passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2022 in the comfort of his home on his 94th birthday. Born in Hartford, CT on August 25, 1928, he was the son of the late Hector and Nellie (Gionet) Marcoux. He served in the US Air Force for 7 years, serving during the Korean War. Philip went on to work for Pratt & Whitney from November 1953 to March 1992 as an external quality auditor. He enjoyed dancing and golf. Philip was very involved in many civic and veteran organizations including AMVETS, Elks Lodge, Moose Lodge, and American Legion Post 80 since 1967. A dedicated veteran, loving father, grandfather, and brother, he will be missed by many family and friends. He leaves 3 children, Philip H. Marcoux, Jr. and his wife Laurie, Van Marcoux and his wife Kelly, and Holly Marcoux; 6 grandchildren, Heather, April, Jeremy, Melanie, Ashley, and Mark; 5 great-grandchildren, Steven, Aiden, Alexander, Abbey, and Alex; his brother Walter Marcoux; his sister Caroline Mae; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Marilyn Marcoux; and his brothers, Omer and Raymond Marcoux. His family will receive friends on Thursday, September 1, from 5-7 pm at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd. Enfield. Burial with Military Honors will be held privately for family.
