Robert L. "Bob" Parks, 90, of Enfield, was reunited with the love of his life, Patricia A. “Pat” (Phillips) Parks (2013), Monday Nov. 1, 2021. He passed away at Evergreen Healthcare in Stafford. The son of the late Wilbur and Josephine (Waters) Parks, Bob was born and raised in West Springfield, MA and graduated from West Springfield High School class of '49. He lived in Somers for 30 years before moving to Enfield where he resided for close to 30 years. Bob proudly owned and operated Parks Superior Sales Inc. in Somers from 1952-2010 building a legacy of unmatched sales and service in the funeral coach industry. He was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church since 1961 and was a former member of the Somers Rotary Club and the Somers Lions Club. He and Pat enjoyed many years travelling in their Motorhome. He also loved fishing.
Bob is survived by ten children, Robert L. Parks, Jr. and his wife Diana of Boone, IA, Cheryl A. Chase and her husband Richard of Charlestown, RI, John H. Parks and his wife Deborah of Somers, Tammy J. Erickson and her husband Paul of Granby, CT, Linda J. Parks and her husband Hans of San Rafael, CA, Laurie A. Luipold and her husband Robert of Somers, Suzanne E. Juth and her husband Troy of Colorado Springs, CO, Patricia A. Hunter and her husband Gary of Somers, Michael S. Parks and his wife Maureen of Somers, Mary Jane Eazer and her husband Corey of Winter Garden, FL. He also leaves 33 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren with two on the way, and two great great grandchildren. Besides his wife, he was predeceased by two sisters, Rosamond Breakell and Rosemary Case.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday Nov. 6, 2021 at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Enfield (Please meet at Church). Committal will Follow at Somers Center Cemetery. Bob's family will receive relatives and friends at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield from 4-6 p.m. Friday Nov. 5, 2021.
