Stephen W. Locke, 80, of Conway, SC, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 26, 2021. He is survived by Carmen (Alaimo) and their dog, Patches. He was the son of Marion and Eugene Locke. He grew up in Fort Fairfield and resided in Scarborough and Wells Maine and then in Conway, SC.
Throughout the years, he was employed by Pilgrim Health Care as Director of Technical Services, and then Manager of Systems and Programming at University Hospital in Boston. In 1991, he was employed by Ernst and Young for Office Implementation Systems.
He was a self-employed consultant providing office and information consulting services to clients located in Maine and New Hampshire and then became director of Business Software Support for Systems Engineering in Portland.
He was a devoted Patriots fan and enjoyed his time with family and friends. He truly enjoyed watching his grandchildren’s various sporting events through the years and was their constant cheerleader of support and encouragement.
He is also survived by his son Jerry and wife Cathy of South Berwick Maine and daughter-in-law Jane of South Portland. He was predeceased by his son Steve Jr. last year. Steve was predeceased by his siblings Mildred Goodness and Charles Locke.
Steve is survived by brothers-in-law Benjamin Alaimo from South Windsor, Ct. and Matthew Alaimo from Central Falls, Rhode Island. He is survived by his seven grandchildren: Brian Locke and his wife Heather, Elizabeth Locke and Joe Thornton, Marianne Gregory and her husband, Dave, Sean Locke, Matthew Locke and wife, Melanie, Ashleigh Locke, and Kat Locke. He is also survived by great-grandchildren: Hunter, Maddie, Amelia, Austin, and Ryker as well as nephews and nieces Chuck Locke, Doug Locke, Kathy Goodness, Vicki Goodness, Jeanne Adomatis, Jon Goodness. Benjamin Alaimo, and Matthew Alaimo.
His family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 1, from 11 AM-12 PM at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield, Ct. A Funeral Home service will take place at 12 PM.
