Walter J. Hallack, 57, of Broad Brook, beloved husband of Shanon (Thorpe) Hallack, passed away unexpectedly in his beloved Vermont home on Sunday, June 19, 2022. Born in Hartford, CT on September 25, 1964, he was the son of Shirley (Hatch) Hallack and the late Raymond Hallack and was a lifelong resident of Broad Brook. Walter did many jobs in his life but was most proud of the tree company he started a few years ago as well as the real estate business he had in Vermont. He was a lifelong farmer and loved raising animals and spending time outdoors hunting, fishing at the Cape, and working to provide for his family. A loving husband, son, father, brother and a friend to MANY, he will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of calling him friend. Besides his wife Shanon, he leaves his mother, Shirley Hallack of Bluffton, SC; 7 children, Rose Hallack, Walter Hallack, Jr., Jesse "Bob" Hallack, Mason and Zachary Ouellette, and Amanda and Austin Reutter; and his sister, Janet LePage and her son Zachary LePage, his wife Natalie and his only niece Autumn Rae. His family will receive friends on Sunday, June 26, from 2-5 PM at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd. Enfield. A Service will take place on Monday, June 27, at 10:30 AM at the funeral home (the family will receive guests from 9:30-10:30 AM prior to the service).
