Obituary for Wayne Theroux

Wayne A. Theroux, 70, of Windsor, beloved husband of Julianne (Saletnik) for 40 years, entered into eternal peace August 31, 2020 at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford. Wayne was born and raised in Southington, CT, the son of the late Hubert and Anita (Pelland) Theroux. Moving to Chicopee, MA, he joined the U.S. Navy serving honorably during the Vietnam Conflict. He lived in Windsor since 1981 where he raised his family and was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church in Poquonock of St. Damien of Molokai Parish. Wayne was employed as a mortgage broker for 20 years before retiring. He was an avid golfer, spending time on his favorite courses practicing for the Senior Amateur Tour. He also enjoyed painting and art. He coached softball for the Town of Windsor and CT Eliminators travel team. He was an avid fisherman never missing opening day of the fishing season. Wayne particularly enjoyed spending summer family vacations at Ogunquit Beach in Maine, "The Beautiful Place by the Sea".
He will be missed by his loving wife Julianne, and his four children, Nikita, Rihanna, Taylor, and Lianne Theroux.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2020 at St. Joseph Church in Poquonock. Military Honors will follow the Mass. Burial will be private.
