Obituary for Raymond K. Lang

Raymond K. Lang, 86, beloved husband of Mary (Sheehan) Lang of Windsor Locks, died Sunday (March 9, 2014) at home. Born in Hartford on February 25, 1928 son of the late Frank and May (Tolles) Lang, he had lived in Windsor Locks for the past 60 years. He was a member of the U.S. Army. Before retiring in 1987 he was a computer engineer for IBM for 30 years. Ray enjoyed sailing, reading, electronics and traveling the Caribbean. In addition to his wife of 60 years, Mary, he leaves two children, David Lang and his wife Michelle of Acushnet, MA and Susan Markowitz and her husband, David of Canton and a sister, Marilyn Hammond and her husband, Jairus of Windsor. He also leaves his adoring and loving grandchildren, Seth Markowitz, Nichole Lang, Zachary Lang, Ally Markowitz and Joseph Lang and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral service will be held on Wednesday March 12 at 10 a.m. at Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks. Burial with military honors will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Windsor Locks. His family will receive friends, Wednesday from 9 to 10 a.m. prior to the funeral service. Memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 321 Research Parkway Suite 212, Meriden, CT 06450.
