Sean and the staff at Somers Funeral Home were amazing to deal with at one of our most vulnerable and difficult times in life, namely the death of our father. They made everything so easy for us because we were already dealing with a lot, my poor wife had terminal cancer and had 6 months to live so she made all her own plans and the funeral director (Holly) was so supportive and helpful that I would recommend her to everyone who has to deal with a life changing tragedy. Upon the passing of our dear mother, we knew right away where we were going to assist us with arrangements. Leete-Stevens came highly recommended to us by many dear friends and we knew with certainty it was who Mom trusted.
For going through such a difficult time and not being in a sound state of mind to make decisions for so many items that we wanted to be just perfect for our Mom, we couldn’t have gotten through it without Jacqueline at Leete-Stevens. Probably one of the saddest days of our lives was when we had to bury our mother, mother-in-law, grandma and great grandma all rolled into one person. I had lost both my parents within a 2 month span and each of them have very different visions for their services.
Both of the funerals were quite different and Leete Steven and specifically Karen was able to go above and beyond to cater their services to each of them in the most beautiful way.
My moms service was very traditional with a wake and grave side service and my dads was a fully military funeral and Karen was able to go above and beyond to set up all of the things needed for each from calling the cemeteries to making sure all paperwork was in order, which allowed me to gather myself just do notifications and work on the obituaries.

Losing my mother was one of the most difficult experiences of my life, but Windsor Locks Funeral Home provided me with an abundance of comfort, guidance, and support every step of the way. From the moment I walked through their doors, I never felt like I was alone. Karen provided me with compassion, kindness and genuine care. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was handled with professionalism and respect, allowing me and my family the space to grieve without the added stress of trying to know what to do or anticipate what was coming next. Holly even met me at the house to help me pick out a dress and jewelry for my mom to wear in her eternal rest.

The staff at Windsor Locks Funeral home provided us with ample sources from which to choose all the necessary items to make the service beautiful. They listened to our wishes, suggested outside vendors for flowers and a reception, set up photos in my mother’s memory beautifully, and treated us with warmth and understanding. Their attention to detail, from the care and preparation of my mom to the set-up of the room for the services was impeccable.

Since her service, I have thought about how extremely happy I was with Windsor Locks Funeral Home and I cannot express enough gratitude for each staff member, especially Karen and Holly. In a time of profound sorrow, they made a difficult process feel a little more bearable, and for that, I will always be thankful. Somers Funeral Home provides the highest quality of service utilizing their professional staff. Their kindness and compassion are given sincerely to individuals, families and friends during their most difficult time of mourning the loss of their loved one. They had to navigate a fair number of people at the wake with several prayer components during the wake. It was flawless. Karen was caring, professional, and on top of everything. I can honestly say they were top notch. They even put together a book for us with his obituary, the psalm we chose for his prayer cards, a write up of what everyone said on their comment section, and more. I have never seen this!
