Obituary for David D'Amato

David D'Amato, (59), of Longmeadow, MA, beloved husband of Tina (Papacalos) D'Amato, entered into eternal rest, Tuesday, may 30, 2017 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. Dave was raised in Enfield and at the age of seven, won the prestigious award of "Mr. Enfield." He was employed by Treasure Chest Advertising for 36 years. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, watching movies, rooting for the Red Sox and Cowboys, playing cards with his brothers, taking trips to the casino, and trips to Wells, Maine. Dave touched many lives, and was a generous and selfless man who never expected anything in return. He always had a positive attitude and uplifting spirit. Besides his wife Tina, Dave is survived by two daughters, Tiffany Gianpoalo and her husband Sam of Broad Brook, Kelly D'Amato of Bloomfield; three brothers, Dominick D'Amato and his wife Auden of Hartford, Jack D'Amato and his wife Mary of Chicopee, MA, Raymond D'Amato and his wife Cynthia of Enfield; a granddaughter, Andraya Gianpoalo; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother Margaret (Provost), his step-father, Butch Rookey, a brother, Michael D'Amato, and a sister, Peggy Allen. Visitation hours will be held from 3-6 p.m. with a funeral service immediately following at 6 p.m. Saturday June 3, 2017 at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dave's memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517.
