Condolences & Tributes

We encourage you to share any memorable photos or stories about John “Jack”. All tributes placed on and purchased through this memorial website will remain on in perpetuity for future generations.

I met Jack at the Scitico Gym. He was an ex-marine like myself. He usually greeted me with " Good Morning Marine." I'll miss his good nature and smiling face. My Condolences to his family.

Dear Molly and family...our hearts were shocked and embraced all of yours as we learned about Jack’s passing...Jack was much more than a friendly face at the gym...he was a good friend and the relationship had grown deeply over the years...Jack was an optimist, a gentleman, a sincere, caring, warm and wonderful man and we will always remember him, his delightful dialogues and his beautiful smile...sadly, another precious life gone too soon...may your fond memories soften your sorrow and help you as you grieve and heal...with love and prayers...Richard and Barbara

I got to know Jack from our time together at the Scitico gym. When in sight of each other, we would exchange a Military salute. That was usually followed by a gentle dig about which one of us was late, talking too much and not exercising, or Marine Corp. vs. Army. As everyone knew, Jack was so proud to be a Marine. Jack had a gentle smile and a quick wit. He was a listener, not a talker. Jack was always interested in what you had to say. We had many good discussions.
My deepest sympathy to you Molly, Nick, Eric, and the whole Hurley Family. Please know that Jack will be missed by his many friend at Club Fitness. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Jack was a special guy.
