What to say about Walt.....Hmmm. He was a complex and challenging person to read at times and yet so simple and funny in his own sarcastic way....He was that blunt and direct character portrayed in many of movies and his personality was an intricate weaving of Archie Bunker, Columbo, and Paul Newman all mixed together. Walt sheltered a quiet kindness that he kept well hidden. But those of us who knew him, could still see it clearly. Walt fought his health battles with great courage and dignity and lived his life on his terms. And for this I had great deal of respect and admiration for him. Having known Walt and his sons from Childhood to Manhood, inevitably part of whom I am today is attributable to my interactions with him throughout the years.
