Joseph C. Marulli, 88, of Enfield, beloved husband of the late Rose "Chicky” (Vanty) Marulli, died peacefully on Tuesday, January 31, 2006. Joseph was born in Sag Harbor, NY on March 25, 1917, the son of the late Nick and Mary (Piccozzi) Marulli. He was a graduate of Greenport High School in Long Island, NY. Joseph served our country during WW II with the US Army and was the recipient of the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Philippines Liberation Ribbon and the WW II Victory Medal. He was employed by Pratt and Whitney and had retired in 1979. Joseph has been and Enfield resident since 1956 and previously resided in Hartford. He was a communicant of both St. Martha’s and St Patrick’s Churches. A proud member of this community, Joseph coached the Hazardville Little League and Seniors League. He was an avid sports fan with his favorite teams being the NY Yankees, NY Giants and UCONN Basketball. A loving father, brother and uncle, Joseph is survived by his son, Joseph F. Marulli and his wife Mary of Tolland; a daughter, Linda M. Marulli of Enfield; his sister, Rose Tursellino of Long Island, NY and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Alfred Marulli. Family and friends will gather on Friday, February 3, 2006 by 9:15 a.m. at the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels to form a funeral procession to St. Patrick’s Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Enfield. His family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, February 2, 2006 from 5-8 p.m. at the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield.
