Obituary for Margaret "Margie" Good

Margaret Good, 91, of Enfield, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 with her loving family and friends by her side. Born on March 12, 1922 in Old Forge, PA, she was the daughter of the late George and Anastasia (Mudzo) Holgash. As a young woman, Margaret worked in Manhattan and met the love of her life. She was united in marriage on October 3, 1957 to her beloved groom, Charles A. Good, Sr., who predeceased her in 1980. They relocated to Enfield, where she was a resident for almost 60 years. Margaret adored her family and was always supportive of them as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Margaret leaves behind her two children, Charlene Polino and her husband, Jeff, of Golden, CO and Charles Good, Jr. and his wife, Claudia, and her two grandchildren, Nicholas and Alessandra Good of Enfield; and many loving family members and dear friends. She was a communicant of St. Adalbert Church and was affiliated with many of the church’s organizations. Margaret was employed with Hallmark Cards for 16 years before retiring in 1985. Margaret was a member of the Polish Women’s Alliance, the Enfield Democratic Town Committee, and enjoyed spending time at the Enfield Senior Center. Margaret had many talents, especially her wonderful cooking and entertaining. Margaret also had a taste for fashion, and it showed in her stylish appearance. Margaret was a skillful poker player and enjoyed her trips to the casino. Margaret was preceded in death by her three brothers, John Holgosh, Nick Holgash and Paul Holgash; and her sister Irene Manzaro. Funeral services for Margaret will be held on Friday, December 6th, beginning with a procession at 10:00 a.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at St. Adalbert Church, 90 Alden Ave. Interment will follow in St. Adalbert Cemetery. A visitation for Margaret will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, December 5th from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
