Peter J. Capp, Jr., 68, of Windsor Locks loving husband of Dorothy “Dot” (Hagerty) Capp passed away peacefully while on a hunting trip. Peter was born December 18, 1948, the son of the late Peter, Sr. and Vivian (Bird) Capp. Peter received his Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture from Kansas State. He proudly served in the Army National Guard and retired from CSX Transportation in 2015 as District Manager after 41 years. Peter loved animals especially dogs. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and camping. In addition to his wife, Dot to whom he was married 43 years, he is also survived by his three daughters, Pamela Angelotti and her husband, Christopher of Tolland, Deanna Capp and Kathy Richards both of Windsor Locks; his three grandchildren whom he adored, Brianna, Paxton, and Sophia; three sisters, Kathy Wallat of Auburn, MA, Deanna Sharrocks and her husband, Fred of Alexandria, VA, and his twin sister, Pamela Capp and her companion Jerry of Worcester, MA and several nieces, nephews and friends. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during visiting hours on Sunday, May 7, 2017, from 2 pm to 5 pm at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks. A funeral service for Peter will be celebrated at 5 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
