Mr Salamone had the patience of a saint teaching us to play snare drum in the late 70s at Parkman school. Almost always soft spoken, and a great sense of humor. Taught us paradiddles and coached us along as we entered inter-school and later JFK and EHS bands. Always a kind word and remembered his students by name many years later. He was a real pro as a band leader for those 6th grade band concerts in the auditorium. Just bought a new set of drums and thought of where I got my start. You will be fondly remembered and missed Mr Solomone. Thank you.
